Ingredients

For the dip
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
For the cinnamon sugar chips
  • 6 flour tortillas
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Make the cinnamon sugar chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and brush the tortillas with melted butter on both sides so they crisp evenly.
  2. Combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle generously over both sides of the tortillas to coat them fully.
  3. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges and arrange them in a single layer on a sheet pan so they bake without crowding.
  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes at 350°F, until crisp and lightly golden, then let cool for better crunch.
Make the apple pie dip
  1. Beat the cream cheese until smooth, creating a creamy base with no lumps.
  2. Fold in half the caramel sauce, the diced apples, and the cinnamon so the dip is evenly studded with apples.
  3. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce for a caramel swirl on top.
  4. Serve with the warm cinnamon sugar chips for dipping so the chips stay crisp during serving.

Notes

For the crispiest chips, bake on a single layer and avoid overlap; cool 5–10 minutes after baking so they firm up. Store leftover dip covered in the refrigerator up to 3 days; rewarm chips briefly in the oven at 300°F for 3–4 minutes if needed (chips don’t freeze well). For a lighter option, use reduced-fat cream cheese and reduced-sugar caramel sauce (texture may be slightly less rich).
