Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh basil large; leaves separated and patted dry
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella pearls drained
  • 0.25 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze

Equipment

  • 1 large platter

Method

  1. Arrange the basil leaves in overlapping rows on a large platter, forming a triangle that widens toward the bottom with a short stem at the base.
  2. Tuck the tomato halves and mozzarella pearls throughout the basil, alternating them to create a tree-like pattern.
  3. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper, then drizzle evenly with the balsamic glaze and serve.

Notes

Pat the basil leaves completely dry so they hold their shape on the platter. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 day; freezing is not recommended. For a dairy-free option, use dairy-free mozzarella pearls.
