Ingredients

  • 6 bacon slices
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1.5 cups smoked Gouda shredded
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • 1 10-inch skillet
  • 1 1-quart baking dish

Method

  1. Cook the bacon in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, turning as needed, until crisp.
  2. Drain the bacon on paper towels and crumble it.
  3. Heat the oven to 350°F.
  4. Lightly grease a 1-quart baking dish.
  5. Stir the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Gouda, garlic powder, and black pepper together in a medium bowl until evenly combined.
  6. Fold in the crumbled bacon.
  7. Spread the mixture in the prepared dish.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until hot and bubbling around the edges.
  9. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For the creamiest texture, soften the cream cheese before mixing. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days; freezing is not recommended. For a lighter option, replace the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
